Kristen Lamb's blog today talked about being careful of what you post on Twitter and really any social media, but she reminded me of the lessons I taught my kids as they were growing, particularly through the tattle-tail stage.

Excellent tips about being careful on what you post. Thanks for forwarding that. I like the THINK line up.I have a character who speaks in a southern drawl and another that is Irish. It's fun to write for them. When I'm done writing on one of them, for the next hour, my hubby says that I have a new accent! I'm talking like they do.Nice blog and great post!
I couldn't sound like anything but a Texan unless I really put my mind to it. But sometimes my characters have a deeper Southern drawl, a NY flair, or even a British accent. Thanks for commenting!
I love the differences between my characters' voices. It's pretty cool how they sound in your head isn't it? I'm from IL but I live in Memphis and have for 16 years, so sometimes I'm told I sound like a redneck Yank. LOL
