Kristen Lamb's blog today talked about being careful of what you post on Twitter and really any social media, but she reminded me of the lessons I taught my kids as they were growing, particularly through the tattle-tail stage.

Author: Marji Laine

Marji is a recently "graduated" homeschooling mom whose twin girls have blessed her by sticking around the nest for a little longer. She spends her days directing the children’s music program at her church and working with the authors of Write Integrity Press to put out the best possible version of their books. Raised in suburban Dallas, she got her first taste of writing through the stories of brilliant authors of their day, Mignon Eberhart and Phyllis A. Whitney, and through stage experience. After directing and acting in productions for decades, Marji started writing her own scripts. From that early beginning, she delved into creating scintillating suspense with a side of Texas sassy. She invites readers to unravel their inspiration, seeking a deeper knowledge of the Lord’s Great Mystery that invites us all.

  4. Excellent tips about being careful on what you post. Thanks for forwarding that. I like the THINK line up.I have a character who speaks in a southern drawl and another that is Irish. It's fun to write for them. When I'm done writing on one of them, for the next hour, my hubby says that I have a new accent! I'm talking like they do.Nice blog and great post!

  6. I couldn't sound like anything but a Texan unless I really put my mind to it. But sometimes my characters have a deeper Southern drawl, a NY flair, or even a British accent. Thanks for commenting!

  7. I love the differences between my characters' voices. It's pretty cool how they sound in your head isn't it? I'm from IL but I live in Memphis and have for 16 years, so sometimes I'm told I sound like a redneck Yank. LOL
