I Love a Good Mystery!

Carol J. Garvin had a post in her blog last week about whether writing was a vocation or avocation.  Well for me, it's been years of avocation, but I, like her example, couldn't justify spending too much time indulging my hobby, my fantasy world. After all, it stole precious moments away from my kids and hubby, my friends, and even activities at my church. How could I be okay with that?

Marji is a recently "graduated" homeschooling mom whose twin girls have blessed her by sticking around the nest for a little longer. She spends her days directing the children’s music program at her church and working with the authors of Write Integrity Press to put out the best possible version of their books. Raised in suburban Dallas, she got her first taste of writing through the stories of brilliant authors of their day, Mignon Eberhart and Phyllis A. Whitney, and through stage experience. After directing and acting in productions for decades, Marji started writing her own scripts. From that early beginning, she delved into creating scintillating suspense with a side of Texas sassy. She invites readers to unravel their inspiration, seeking a deeper knowledge of the Lord’s Great Mystery that invites us all.

  2. What a touching post. :)I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't write. It makes me who I am, colors my world, and makes me feel I'm contributing. Some days I wonder, especially when a deadline looms and my family needs me, but in the end it's all good.I wish you much success.

  4. This is so inspiring! I love hearing about people who don't just talk about what they want to do, they do it. Go you! Life's too short not to pursue your dreams!!

  5. That's always been my answer, too, Loree, but He had to push through my "squirrels" to make me realize it.

  8. I live by "commit your works to Him and He will establish your thoughts." I tend to agree with you on the author/writer. My book is not pubished, so I am a writer. When it's published, not if ;), then I will be an author. If I could do anything in the world? Write. Write. Write. Have a great Wednesday!
