The Rest of HisStory – Hallelujah

Handel's Messiah

Beautiful music! Powerful message! There was a time when I could actually sing through Messiah. Did several performances when I was younger. I don't know if I could sing it at this point. Not because the music is challenging – that's just the way I like it. Because just hearing the Spirit's words set to such amazing music keeps me in a regular state of tears. Do you know how hard it is to sing with tears streaming? I've learned over the last decade or so to sing through the tears, but it's terribly hard to do. 1. Oh my, Diana. Don't want to bust up the mic! LOL!

  2. I too love his music. Can't sing very well though. Are you singing on your vlog next week? 🙂

  3. I love the music from this masterpiece. I also like the historical fact of why it's tradition for the audience to stand when the Hallelujah Chorus starts!

  4. I sang Brahm's Requium and Messiah in college – was a music major for a while. The words of Messiah resonated and the songs are still some of my favorite Christmas music, even in April! Lol!

  5. I also sang in performances when I was a teenager. I'd just graduated from the Texas Boys Choir (due to voice change) and sang with the SW Baptist Seminary choir. "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth" is still me favorite single piece of music ever. Hope to have it sung at my funeral.
