I Love a Good Mystery!

Hoping for SOMETHING!

I actually don't believe in luck or crossing fingers or any of that stuff, but the picture sure exemplifies hope. "Cross your fingers and hope real hard!" That's what I was always told, but I couldn't tell you who first said it to me.

So I'm hoping. First, I'm hoping to do better at reporting. I'm so bummed that I forgot to share an update last Sunday.

Second, I'm hoping for … well … you know.

There’s a time to dream and a time to act. As a writer, being part-dreamer just comes with the territory. I visualized getting “the call” the other day. I’ve delayed attempts to connect with an agent for the most part. (I don’t really count the few queries that I sent out before I had a clue of what I was doing.) Now I have a clue, thanks to the many

Marji is a recently "graduated" homeschooling mom whose twin girls have blessed her by sticking around the nest for a little longer. She spends her days directing the children’s music program at her church and working with the authors of Write Integrity Press to put out the best possible version of their books. Raised in suburban Dallas, she got her first taste of writing through the stories of brilliant authors of their day, Mignon Eberhart and Phyllis A. Whitney, and through stage experience. After directing and acting in productions for decades, Marji started writing her own scripts. From that early beginning, she delved into creating scintillating suspense with a side of Texas sassy. She invites readers to unravel their inspiration, seeking a deeper knowledge of the Lord’s Great Mystery that invites us all.

  1. Congratulations on having such a busy but successful plan. It sounds like things are really coming together so, with all this hard work,I'm sure you'll get what it is you want. And the pony. <3Kelly. http://www.blog.co.uk/user/koldham/

  4. I want a pony too…. My husband keeps telling me no.Looks like you've been busy! The best way to learn all these things is by doing. Even with people telling you how things happen, etc., everyone's experiences are different, and everyone's processes are so different. You'll never know until you try!Good luck!Melanie

  5. Marji you have some fab goals and you are keeping up to them with not much difficulties (I'm not counting social media as I know how much it can eat into our time). You certainly hit the nail on the head; life is about prioritising what's important in our lives (something I needed to take on board recently). I have a feeling you will be walking on the path you have mapped out and not stagger behind. 🙂 Keep that positivity-a-churning!

  6. Ohh I so know what you mean about hoping and dreaming. And as for contacting agents – I'm not even thinking of looking at that yet – it still seems like a pipe dream away! lol Great work though, keep it up. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the agents! 😀
