I Love a Good Mystery!

Pink Party in a Blue Dress – Guest Post by Jenny Hammerle

Don’t we all want to be Cinderella? Some times over and over? (Probably why romance novels are so popular!) I have to tell you my next PINK PARTY guest truly played that role. I heard such stories about her romance with a real Prince Charming in the royal court at the recent ACFW conference. Jenny Hammerle has a precious story worthy of a novel!

Forever My Prince

PINK PARTY post by Jenny Hammerle

Jenny hammerleOnce upon a time, in a kingdom in the Sunshine State,

I met my true love in a castle where we shared our first date.

I wore a dress of blue, which caught the azure of my eyes,

He wore a suit of red, he was of a tall and regal size.

We danced at a ball, lights shone on the floor,

We were joined by familiar friends- two mice, a dog, a cat and more.

The night was fun filled- but too soon it drew to an end,

The clock chimed twelve and my shift had come to an end.

Would we meet again? I really didn’t know.

I worked in the castle and he worked on the floats.

Then one day it came, a need for a Princess in another land,

There the children awaited needing a smile and a pen in hand.

I hurried down to Toon Town and what surprise did await?

My Prince was there waiting to continue our first date.

Another chance meeting, too quickly passed the time.

We laughed and visited with each guest, the day ended and still he wasn’t mine.

Weeks passed and occasionally I’d think I’d see him in the hall,

Yet the Kingdom was so vast we rarely met at all.

I became a little disheartened- could this Prince Charming have been a dream?

Was he as smitten with me or did it just so seem?

Jenny HammerleThen one day it happened, he came to call again.

He searched for the girl he’d met and wondered where she’d been.

They danced another waltz that has continued through the years,

Filled with love, memories and of course happy tears!

SO IMPRESSED and all in verse! Wow, Jenny. And I’l just say it … blue is DEFINITELY your color! Thanks so much for being part of my PINK PARTY!

Special Post tomorrow! News and an extra GIFT! Yes, I said gift – it’s not even a drawing! Sort of a PARTY FAVOR! Oh do come back!

YOUR TURN! A challenge today. Can you give me a two-line romantic rhyme? Something like: She should not ever make him wait or else she will not have a date! C’mon! Give it a try!
