Today’s author, Debbie Roome, takes Ruby to Capetown, South Africa. I love the imagery of this chapter.
Reminds me of the song, Some Children See Him. The words express how different races imagine to resemble them.
Of course we know he was born a Jew, but children especially will see Him like themselves. The cool thing is, the Lord sees us like Himself. We as a whole might have the look of a box of assorted chocolates, but to God we’re the spitting image of Jesus.
Genesis 1:27 says: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”
That encourages me. In the midst of my low times I can recall how much I resemble my Father. How I am a member of His royal family. Picks me right up.
Your Turn: When you reach low points, where do you find encouragement?
