Dear Sis,
You’ll be happy to know that I caught a wife this morning. Not my wife. And her husband wasn’t too thrilled about it. It was an accident, but the octogenarian couldn’t have been sweeter. She considered me to be bragging rights when she got back home. That’s a first.
I visited an orphanage at Limon today. The man in charge does his best, but the children do without some of the basics of life. And I’m not talking phones here. I’m talking shoes, coats. I could go on. Sweetest kids though. All smiles. I got to give out a bag full of candy.
The visit made me realize how important the work I do at the orphanage is. I’d love for you to join me there when I get back home. I know you don’t understand my commitment to God, but I think you would totally get the love I have for those children. I can just see you working with them. Your smile bursting out all over.
By the way, that woman from the first day hunted me down again. Patricia or something like that. Roselle, I will pay you back for putting me in this position. That woman actually drooled. I could have sworn I was the bag of candy to her. I stuck Danny between us and diverted her. I hope for the final time this trip. Less than a week to go.
No, I’m not counting down my time. Just hoping I can get better at avoiding the huntresses. Not always an easy thing to do. You have no idea. Sticking me in a rubber cage surrounded by sharks wouldn’t be more frightening.
Your brother, and I’m starting to see why you sent me here.
Brenton
