I Love a Good Mystery!

Day #14 – 30 Day Challenge

c13We’ve been discussing the season of preparation. What things we should and shouldn’t do as we get ready for God’s use. Going through the book Thirty Days of Devotion, we’ve discovered that we should revere God, and we shouldn’t hold onto fear – worry, panic, or dread – and we shouldn’t hold up personal agendas, politics, or social issues as important as God, Himself, and our relationships with Him.

Today’s article is about the most important thing we need to realize and concentrate upon as we prepare for whatever lies ahead. One of the essential truths that we need to nail into the wall and focus on.

Oh, how He loves us!

Oh, how He carries us!

Oh, how He blesses us!

Delights in us! Like the daddy of a toddler taking first steps, our Heavenly Abba opens His hands to us. Our attempts and desire for Him spreads a smile across His face.

And I have to tell you, as I’m reading through this article (for maybe the 8th or 9th time!) tears are running down my face again as I remember the stories I shared.

Oh, my friend, your Father loves you! Never doubt that. No matter how you’re hurting, or have let Him down, or what you’re facing. He adores you! When you feel His silence you still hold His interest and enjoy His presence! And He shows you His love in the details of your daily day.

Your turn: Have you noticed? Have you seen such details as only our amazing God can offer. Can you tell us about them?

Even if you don’t feel comfortable chiming in your thoughts, please let me know you’re joining us for our 30-day challenge and I’ll add you to my prayer list. I hope the Lord has blessed you so far!

Tomorrow marks our halfway point. We will be completing our 15th devotion, analyzing the article entitled, “Beauty from Ashes” from the book, Thirty Days of Devotion. It’s available for only 99¢ from Amazon, so I hope you’ll pick up your copy and join us for the second half of the month.

  1. Background: I LOVE rainbows and have all my life. I always arrange our dyed Easter eggs in rainbow order before I put them in the fridge, 😀 I like glass decor that makes rainbows in the house, I often doodle with rainbow colors in rainbow order. One of my favorite birthday parties as a kid was my “rainbow theme,” where Mom made jello of every color into a rainbow!!

So the first summer we were homeless, it was very scary. Numerous times, we didn’t know where we were going to sleep that night, especially me. That year in 12 months, we stayed in at least 10 different places I think, trying to help me survive. Well, in the mountains, rainbows are common, but God gave us rainbows at least 7 of these locations, even though we stayed at some for only a couple weeks!!! So it was particularly special to me, especially when I was so sick and the circumstances were so scary.

  2. Some may not understand why what I am about to share is such a blessing but to me it is! He does care about every detail but as we have said sometimes “no” is our answer. This past week our truck, the only vehicle I can ride it without fragrance or toxic chemicals, had to be towed to the shop and they are so busy will not be able to finish until Wednesday this week. The blessings during this time have been beautiful weather to be able to ride the motorcycle and clean dry air while riding. I have not been sick once from riding all weekend! Also, the only water I can drink is up a mountain, a 70 minute drive. Our water has lasted! It will probably last until Wednesday when we get the truck back. If feel so blessed, like that widow Elijah told that her oil and flour will not be exhausted. He does care about our tiniest details!
