I Love a Good Mystery!

Day #24 – 30 Day Challenge

wheatsunsetToday marks the final week of my 30-day challenge as we move through the last section of Thirty Days of Devotion. All of the other seasons focus on hardships and the blessing of what we can learn from God through them. This one still has that aspect, but some of the blessings from this season are the fruits resulting from the labors of the other sections.

This new season puts all of the others into perspective.

  • The waiting period of inactivity when others seem to have clear view of the Lord’s will for their lives.
  • The ending of a chapter necessary for a new beginning. Whether it be a job, a home, or a relationship.
  • The painful growth that often occurs with a devastating issue.

It’s in this season that we can bear witness of the effect of all of the others on our lives. What a blessing the Lord gives to allow us to look back on all He has done for us!

Your Turn: Having fully completed three of the four seasons, can you tell in which you are currently dwelling? I think I was wrong at the beginning of this. I think I might be in this final season of Harvest. What about you?

Tomorrow, we’ll be beginning this section with “Finishing Well.” This section has some excellent encouragement! I hope you’ll come back and by all means read through the section in Thirty Days of Devotion.

Marji is a recently "graduated" homeschooling mom whose twin girls have blessed her by sticking around the nest for a little longer. She spends her days directing the children’s music program at her church and working with the authors of Write Integrity Press to put out the best possible version of their books. Raised in suburban Dallas, she got her first taste of writing through the stories of brilliant authors of their day, Mignon Eberhart and Phyllis A. Whitney, and through stage experience. After directing and acting in productions for decades, Marji started writing her own scripts. From that early beginning, she delved into creating scintillating suspense with a side of Texas sassy. She invites readers to unravel their inspiration, seeking a deeper knowledge of the Lord’s Great Mystery that invites us all.

  1. I still think I’m in Summer, but very, very close to Autumn! 🙂 Today’s Scripture hit me so wonderfully in several areas. As I enter Autumn, I need to remember that it is GOD I serve, and not man. This is so comforting. For example, even if I never receive the “reward” of steady income from my books, I am writing for GOD because He has told me to. Even if my blogging numbers stay low for the rest of my blogging life, I work heartily because I love the Lord, (not for the praise of man). Ahhhh, the peace and joy of knowing it is the Lord Christ Whom I serve. 🙂
