In my book, Dana Mentink is a bonafide master! She’s an award-winning suspense author, and has several highly successful romance novels, (love her “Love Unleashed” series starring various adorable dogs!) but started her career in cozy mysteries. Wow! Just Wow!
My daughter and I had the pleasure of listening to the first of her cozy series set in a quirky, small town on coast of northern California. Trouble Up Finny’s Nose had us in hysterics one moment and twisted in curiosity the next.
I predict this story has a future in the movies! Maybe Pureflix? Maybe even Hallmark! It’s perfect for that venue, offering liberal humor, heart-warming romance, and sweet geriatric dog that stole my heart! Special thanks to Dana Mentink, the author, for offering me a free copy for a honest review.
Here’s the Short Version from Amazon:
Take one abrasive professional athlete, a quirky out-of-work schoolteacher, and an overweight geriatric dog, and you’re ready for a lesson in love…Tippy style.
Pro baseball pitcher Cal Crawford is not a dog guy. When he inherits his deceased mother’s elderly dog, Tippy, he’s quick to call on a pet-sitting service.
I’ve relished Dana Mentink’s romantic suspense novels, but I’ve found that my love for them has as much to do with the author’s writing style as it has to do with their genre. Well, maybe not as much, but close!
The love story blooming in my second book,Grime Wave, inspired me to explore some first dates by some of the best in Christian fiction romance and suspense. Before I put them on the spot, I shared one of my experiences HERE.
Free book opportunity! I love getting to share some great books on the Suspense Sister blog, but this one is definitely a FAVORITE. And I have a copy to give away FREE to one of the members on my quarterly newsletter.
