I Love a Good Mystery!

Review: Love in the Wind by Elizabeth Goddard

LoveIntheWindI can’t believe at my age, I’ve never been the least bit interested in sailing. Until reading Elizabeth Goddard‘s new book, Love in the Wind. This book is such a peaceful read after the intense suspense stories that I’ve been indulging in. Love in the Wind is like a breath of fresh sea air. (Or breezy lake air as the case may be.)

Review: When the Smoke Clears

when the smoke clearsThe mark of an exceptional book is how well it stays with the reader long after the initial reading. That situation certainly applies with the book I want to review today. I read Lynette Eason’s When the Smoke Clears way back in May when I attended a conference in North Carolina and enjoyed a class taught by her. At least not until 4:28 AM when I finally finished the story. Continue reading

Review: A Ranch to Call Home by Leann Harris

A ranch to call homeThe last book I read truly provided an oasis during a very busy time. Do you ever get that kind of stress? Like you’re a basketball going from one thing to another, always moving, always full of energy. So when any downtime came – and I mean ANY: grocery lines, carpool, dentist waiting room (just a handful of places I enjoyed over the past two weeks) – I pulled out this book and was wafted away to small town, south of Ft. Worth, with amiable people and a warm inviting story. Continue reading

12 Free Apologies!

Read A Dozen Apologies. Mara Adkins from A Dozen ApologiesEveryone needs forgiveness and Mara Adkins is no exception.

Wow is that an understatement. Sort of like saying she’s not entirely graceful. Or that the things she works on are sometimes less than successful.  Continue reading

Review: Beowulf by Ronie Kendig

Beowulf by Ronie Kendig

Book #3 of A Breed Apart series

I have come to count on Ronie Kendig for intense action, fierce romance, realistic characters, and honor to our military through her novels. But Beowulf took my expectations to a new level. Continue reading
