A NEW FAVORITE!

I have a new favorite book that I have to tell you about. You learn about it on my abbreviated review at Goodreads, shown below, or you can go directly to SUSPENSE SISTERS and read the whole thing. I have to say, there were some SERIOUS surprises and delights in this book.

Oh, and double-delight! The Suspense Sisters are giving away a $100 Starbucks gift card. Today’s the last day to enter, so don’t miss out!

Here’s my abbreviated Goodreads review.

Counter Attack by Patricia Bradley

My rating: 5 of 5 stars (I would give it six if I could!)
The newest suspense by Patricia Bradley left me breathless! She is a master of twists and turns, and she keeps the tension at the perfect balance between breath-holding gasps and sighs of relief.

Detective Alex Stone works undercover to trap a serial killer in Chattanooga, but the set-up turns into an unexpected tragedy. She returns to the small town where she grew up to heal and to help her grandfather, the county sheriff, while he recuperates from an unexpected health scare.

Strangely enough, the serial killer seems to move with her. Or is there a copycat? This plot is sheer poetry. I’m not going to say I was entirely surprised, but there were some elements of the ending that I did not see coming – to my sheer delight!

You can find more of my review on the Suspense Sisters blog and be sure to enter our great $100 Starbucks giveaway there!

Suffice it to say, Patricia Bradley has quickly become a favorite of mine, and this story is a sheer delight.

Just be sure to leave a nightlight glowing!

Lynette Eason’s Newest Book!

1602 Feb CoverI had the most fun last weekend immersing in Lynette Eason’s newest book, Always Watching. I love the premise of this book! An entire agency of female bodyguards committed to protection in some rather extreme circumstances. Sort of a “Charlie’s Angels” spin, only the women are brilliant, skilled, dedicated, and tough.

You can find my full review at the Suspense Sisters review, HERE!

But even more important, you can enter for your chance to win a copy of Always Watching for yourself at Lynette Eason’s interview. I love getting the chance to meet and chat with authors, especially some of my favorites! I always learn fun tidbits! Make sure you enter for your chance to win!

GRIME BEAT Coming Soon!

Dallas skyline eveningDue to Release Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from Amazon.com

Dani Foster’s work as a crime scene cleaner in Dallas sometimes turns up more trouble than she anticipates. And when her best friend turns up missing, Dani has no idea that something she found put them both in danger. Suspicions fall on handsome Jay Hunter, the crime scene specialist that her team usually cleans up after. But he’s also the only person willing to help her find out what happened to her friend. Dare she trust him even when lies seem to surround him?

Dani amuses Jay. Her penchant for speaking and acting without regard to the consequences land her in the funniest situations. But her latest moves have thrust her into serious danger. As he learns more about her circumstances, her risk rises until her very life is on the line. He has no time or inclination for romance, but this girl needs him and she seems to have no one else. How can he turn his back?

GRIME BEAT is the first episode of the Grime Fighters series set in Dallas, Texas. Dani’s trouble and Jay’s attraction are only just beginning!

Excerpt:

Dani couldn’t go home, now. She’d never sleep with her friend maybe hurt or sick. She walled against worse scenarios. Something had happened. That much was clear.

A little dog from the apartment under Tasha’s started yapping. Sounded like a terrier. A sliding patio door opened, and Dani froze. The barking volume increased, and the door slid into place with a click, leaving the dog scratching at the high patio fence.

She backed away, eyeing the enclosure. That really was a high wooden fence. Looked sturdy. She glanced to the top floor. The upper level held more of a balcony with a waist-high rail and pickets. And she could reach the bottom of them from the top of the lower porch.

This was worth a try.

Backing up several feet, she took a running jump to the top edge of the wooden fence.

Memes:

As I built memes to share about my new Grime Fighter Christian novella series, I made a number of them that just didn’t quite fit my focus. But they’re still so much fun! I just had to share! Feel free to pin these or share them on Facebook, but please link them back to this page!

But I had never read any of her books. Blew me away to learn she had published Continue reading
