My family has a tradition of goofiness. My mom, son, and brother can tell some of the funniest stories and the rest of us toss in one-liners like professional stand-ups.

Actually, the tradition is just the goofiness. The Birthday Olympics was my response to the busy schedules that didn't allow us all to celebrate for the five. But I didn't get away Scott free. When my birthday came around in January, my mom paid me back by making us all play pin the tail on the donkey! (The youngests in the fam are 12!) Just more goofiness.

You guys are fun, for sure!We have a silly, kind-of-gross, tradition with the turkey heart. This comes from when I was a child – my mother did this – and my kids have adopted it. I make the turkey soup the old fashioned way for the stuffing – like mom used to make. We use the neck and gizzards in the soup. After the soup is done, we take out the heart and split it into four – now six because of a son in law and boyfriend – and each eat a piece of it…lol.My husband does NOT partake in this tradition…lol. It's just silly, and I'm surprised every year when my daughter divides up the heart and passes it around on Thanksgiving morning. It's like a dare to eat it.
