I’m so delighted to welcome Sheryl Holmes, a co-author of The Christmas Tree Treasure Hunt and author of her own story, Towdah.
The aroma of turkey dinner still lingers in the air. The countdown begins! Sales abound and stores compete to fight for your attention, the kid’s lists are set before you, and there is no more room on the calendar squares to write-in one more party, gathering, or place to be! The Christmas season is upon us all and the flurry of chaos lures us, draws us, pulls us into the whirling funnel.
What to do? Where to go? What to think?
Philippians 4:8 gives us direction:
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things.”
Certainly there is much that fits these categories among the “to-do’s” of this season!
Even still, might I beg to ask you to make room in your schedule for:
…something lovely — rest and refreshment; yes, you can pour a cup of tea and put your feet up while you do this lovely activity…
…something admirable – nine Christians authors working together for the common goal of pleasing, entertaining, and challenging the reader; yep, that is you my friend!
…something excellent or praiseworthy – A Ruby Christmas, a Christmas Novella, destined to be excellent as it rides on the heels of last years’ success, The Christmas Tree Hunt, published by Write Integrity Press.
Heed Paul’s exhortation and come away from all the hub-bub and fill your mind with this praiseworthy story.
